Fast keiner wei\u00df, wo der Begriff, der international f\u00fcr Vergn\u00fcgungen aller Art steht, herkommt. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:7px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Aachen steht das Wort \u201eTivoli\u201c f\u00fcr das Fu\u00dfballstadion, in Kopenhagen und in den Niederlanden f\u00fcr riesige Freizeitpark. In Wien war das fr\u00fcher der Name eines legend\u00e4ren Unterhaltungslokals, nach dem heute noch Stra\u00dfen benannt sind, au\u00dferdem der Name einer Partydisco im Prater. Tivoli ist \u00fcberall ein Ort der Unterhaltung \u2013 doch nur wenige wissen, von einer kleinen Stadt \u00f6stlich von Rom kommt. Bereits in der Antike war der Ort ein Sehnsuchtsziel: Kaiser Hadrian lie\u00df sich hier im 2. Jahrhundert eine gewaltige Sommerresidenz errichten \u2013 die Villa Adriana. Kein einfaches Landhaus, sondern eine Miniaturwelt mit k\u00fcnstlichen Kan\u00e4len, griechischen Tempeln, Theatern, Thermen. Wasserspiele, Skulpturen, Grotten, ein ganzes Orchester aus Font\u00e4nen, betrieben allein durch Schwerkraft. Und schlie\u00dflich die Villa Gregoriana: ein wilder Landschaftsgarten mit Schluchten, Wasserf\u00e4llen und Moosw\u00e4nden, wo einst Romantiker auf Sinnsuche gingen. Diese \u00dcberf\u00fclle an Natur, Kultur, Wasser, Sch\u00f6nheit \u2013 sie machte Tivoli zu einem Bild. Zu einem Ideal.
