Over the centuries, a super gene has developed due to the limited genetics: those who have it are immune to heart attacks and strokes.<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-latest-posts__list alignright wp-block-latest-posts\"><li><a class=\"wp-block-latest-posts__post-title\" href=\"https:\/\/la-bella-vita.club\/en\/10-dinge-fuer-den-italienurlaub-an-die-kaum-jemand-denkt\/\">10 things for a holiday in Italy - that hardly anyone thinks about<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:72px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The medical miracle from Lake Garda<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The super gene is discovered by chance in 1974. Valerio Dagnoli from Limone sul Garda consults the Milanese doctor Cesare Sirtori because of severe abdominal pain. The doctor discovers that Dagnoli has extremely high fat levels in his blood, but low HDL (high density lipoprotein). The HDL protein removes excess cholesterol from the blood vessels. All gene carriers are descended from a single couple from Limone sul Garda, Cristoforo Pomaroli and Rosa Giovanelli, who married in the first half of the 17th century. The appearance of the protein can be traced back to 1644.
