Die meisten internationalen Urlauber kennen das Naturschutzgebiet mit dem Endlosstrand (noch) nicht. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:18px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rom begeistert. Der Parco del Circeo ist kein klassischer Badeort, sondern eine wilde, gesch\u00fctzte Naturlandschaft: 8.500 Hektar Sandd\u00fcnen, W\u00e4lder, S\u00fc\u00dfwasserseen und Lagunen \u2013 dazwischen antike Tr\u00fcmmer, schroffe Felsen und das Meer in einer Farbe, die fast schon kitschig wirkt.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der Park wurde 1934 gegr\u00fcndet und zieht sich entlang der K\u00fcste, vorbei an Orten wie Sabaudia, San Felice Circeo und Torre Paola. Hier gibt es keine Strandburgen, keine Musikbeschallung, keine Liegen in Reih und Glied. Die Modellstadt wurde in den 1930er Jahren w\u00e4hrend des italienischen Faschismus hochgezogen \u2013 mit klaren Linien und architektonischer Strenge. Zwischen 1927 und 1939 wurden an die 840 km\u00b2 Sumpfland s\u00fcdlich von Rom trockengelegt und f\u00fcr die Landwirtschaft parzelliert.\u00a0Umso sch\u00f6ner ist der Kontrast zur Umgebung: Nur ein paar Schritte vom n\u00fcchternen Stadtbild entfernt beginnt einer der l\u00e4ngsten und unber\u00fchrtesten Str\u00e4nde Italiens.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hier badet, wer Ruhe sucht. Die Spiaggia di Sabaudia zieht sich kilometerweit an der K\u00fcste entlang, gesch\u00fctzt durch D\u00fcnen und Pinienw\u00e4lder. Einige Abschnitte sind bewirtschaftet, die meisten aber frei zug\u00e4nglich. Der Blick aufs Meer, eingerahmt vom Monte Circeo im Hintergrund, hat etwas Episches. Wer morgens fr\u00fch kommt, erlebt den Strand in fast vollkommener Stille. Wer nachmittags bleibt, sieht das Licht langsam in Gold kippen.<\/strong> Und ja: Es gibt hier auch ein kleines Lido mit Liegest\u00fchlen \u2013 aber unaufdringlich. Alles wirkt zur\u00fcckhaltend, fast wie aus der Zeit gefallen. Selbst die Parkplatzsituation ist in der Nebensaison erstaunlich zivilisiert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-praktisch-gedacht\">Praktisch gedacht<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Am besten erreicht man die Region mit dem Auto \u2013 von Rom aus \u00fcber die SS148 \u201ePontina\u201c. Wer auf \u00f6ffentliche Verkehrsmittel angewiesen ist, kann mit dem Zug bis Priverno-Fossanova fahren und von dort einen Bus nach Sabaudia oder San Felice Circeo nehmen.
