The most important news first: Those travelling to Italy no longer need to observe Corona rules when entering the country. Since 1 June, it is NO longer compulsory to present proof of vaccination, convalescent status or a negative test result. The previous entry form is no longer required.

In Italy, FFP2 masks must still be worn on trains and other means of transport, and mouth protection is no longer compulsory on aeroplanes. A mask must still be worn in hospitals and nursing homes.

There are no longer vaccination and testing requirements for restaurants, museums, cinemas or shops, or closed networking events. A mask no longer needs to be worn.

Return journey

In almost all countries, the restrictions for a return journey from Italy have been lifted. To be on the safe side, check again shortly before your holiday for any changes.
